Geo-environmental challenge is present in most engineering projects, as earth materials (soils & rocks) are being used either as foundation, or as construction materials. Selecting the appropriate material borrow areas is very crucial in projects related to slope excavation, embankments, dikes and dams, to hydraulic and other projects. We have been involved in numerous projects which needed modifications of the geotechnical design and construction methods to comply with environmental constraints and minimize environmental impacts.
